Jacques
Loiseau, an artist of dynamic power, blasts his canvases with the joy
of living in Provence. “I paint with my heart and instinct,"
he says, "not my head. The most beautiful painting is always the next
one my inspiration grants me — a prolific destiny which favors shape
and color, the source of my happiness, and every day brims up in me, expressing
itself through my paint brushes. My paintings are like lessons in life,
strong, bold, balanced, brilliant, and they vibrate joyfully on the canvas,
so that only joy remains, thrilling the senses and magnifying the colors.” |

Jacques Loiseau was born 1920, in a small village in the center
of France. From his early years, his talent as an artist, in drawing and
painting, was clearly visible. It was in 1954 that he began to focus his
attention on his first love, painting. |

Charmed
by the atmosphere and beauty of Provence, he finally settled in Aix-en-Provence
in 1986. The beauty of the area, and its influence on his paintings is plainly
visible. He now lives in the very place where Paul Cézanne painted
“Le Mont Sainte-Victoire vu des Lauves.” He continues to paint
with enthusiasm and passion to this day. His paintings of landscapes and
provençal scenes are reminiscent of the classical Impressionist and
Fauvist style of the great masters. But Jacques has created his own unique
style of painting. |

Jacques
Loiseau exhibits his works regularly in galleries and museums around
the world. His paintings are in private collections in France, the United
States, Britain, Germany, Austria, Italy and Japan. |
